Situ Technology ("we", "us", "our") operates the Raisu JLPT mobile application ("the App"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide a personalized study experience:

• Device identifier: A randomly generated ID tied to your device, used to save your quiz progress and personalization data. This is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
• Quiz performance data: Your answers, accuracy rates, and study streaks, used to personalize future quizzes and track your progress.
• Push notification token: If you enable notifications, we store a device token to send daily quiz reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
• We do not require account creation to use the App.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not sell, share, or rent your data to third parties for advertising purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• Personalization: Your quiz results help our AI build quizzes tailored to your strengths and weaknesses.
• Progress tracking: We store your study history so you can see your improvement over time.
• Notifications: If enabled, we send a daily reminder to help you maintain your study streak.
• Quality improvement: Aggregated, anonymous performance data helps us improve quiz question quality.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: Cloud data storage, push notifications, and analytics. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Gemini / OpenAI: AI-powered quiz generation and validation. Questions are generated from general knowledge; your personal data is not sent to these services.

Data Retention

Your quiz performance data is retained as long as you use the App. If you delete the App, your local data (flashcards, study history) is permanently removed from your device. Server-side data associated with your device identifier may be retained for up to 12 months after your last use, after which it is automatically deleted.

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us at contact@raisu.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
